Plasma for Homocysteine
Container/Tube: Lavender-top (EDTA) tube(s)
Specimen: 2 mL (minimum volume: 1 mL) of EDTA plasma
Transport Temperature: Refrigerate ≤48 hours
Collection Instructions: Fasting. Spin down immediately, remove plasma, and place in separate plastic vial. If there is a delay in transport of >48 hours, send specimen frozen.
