Container/Tube: Lavender-top (EDTA) tube(s) - No other anticoagulant is acceptable.

Specimen: 5 mL (minimum volume: 0.5 mL) of EDTA whole blood

Transport temperature: Ambient

Collection Instructions: Invert 8 times to mix blood.

0 days-1 month: 9.0-32.0 10³/µL

1 month-2 years: 5.0-13.0 10³/µL

2-10 years: 4.0-12.0 10³/µL

10-18 years: 4.0-10.5 10³/µL

≥18 years: 4.2-11.0 10³/µL

Critical values (automatic call-back)

0 days-1 month: <2.1 10³/µL or>40.0 10³/µL

1 month-2 years: <2.1 10³/µL or >30.0 10³/µL

≥2 years: <2.1 10³/µL or >24.9 10³/µL
